Missouri’s Lt. Governor Visits Continental Siding’s Manufacturing Facility to Promote “Buy Missouri” Program

As part of the “Buy Missouri” initiative, Continental Siding achieved statewide recognition when Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe stopped by our facility to continue spreading the message of promoting Missouri-based businesses. Kehoe gave a presentation at Continental Siding during which he talked about the great work ethic of our company and the importance of local companies being able to provide jobs for the unemployed workers in the state.

The Buy Missouri initiative is designed to create and recognize Missouri companies and manufacturers to the public and strengthen the economy of our state. However, when the Lt. Governor actually visited our facility it truly shined a spotlight on our company. Lt. Gov. Kehoe was able to see for himself how Continental Siding differentiates itself from other companies and saw our impressive seamless polymer siding in person.

Continental Siding Stands Out as a Statewide Leader

While speaking at our facility, Kehoe stated, ”What we’ve found in Missouri is that we have a great work ethic and great people who are committed to working for companies,” and at Continental Siding, this is no exception. Our owner, Alec Cook, understands the importance of investing in our company to ensure that our employees are happy and taken care of which is evident throughout the way he manages our business on a day-to-day basis. In fact, one of Alec Cook’s mottos for our company is that he cares much more about how we do business than how much business we do–and that includes investing in our community and team members to truly stand out as a leader in the local economy of Independence and throughout the entire state.

Recognition Throughout the Community

In addition to being recognized as part of the Buy Missouri initiative, since taking over Continental Siding in 2019, Alec Cook has earned many additional awards and accolades for all of the work he has put in. This includes the manufacturer of the year award from the Economic Development Council, a Philanthropic Business of the year award, the 2020 Business of the Year Award, Better Business Bureau Integrity Award, and the Corporate Citizen of the Year award by the Truman Heartland Community Foundation. When you pair all of these recognitions with the truly outstanding seamless polymer siding that we offer to local homeowners, it’s easy to see how we can fulfill our mission to help people love their home and we do that by providing them with siding and windows for life.
