Oct 09, 2023

Kansas City magazine holds a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike. It’s a go-to resource for finding exciting things to do, discovering the city’s finest restaurants, and staying informed about important news. More than just a publication, it’s a celebration of all that makes Kansas City extraordinary. One of the magazine’s annual highlights is the “Best of KC” awards, where readers cast their votes in 300 diverse categories to honor what they love most about the city.

Commercials: More Than Just Ads

Among these categories, commercials play a unique role. They’re not just advertisements; they’re narratives that connect with viewers on a personal level. People form genuine bonds with their favorite commercials and the brands behind them. It’s about characters and stories that resonate over time.

Jerry and Alec: A Transition Worth Celebrating

For Continental Siding, our commercial journey took an exciting turn when we introduced Alec alongside our iconic figure, Jerry. Jerry had been a beloved presence in our community for years, and many had developed authentic connections with him. The transition to Alec was an important step, one that we wanted to ensure was both well-received and celebrated.

Recognizing a Winning Commercial

Our winning commercial beautifully navigated this transition. It showcased the enduring friendship between Jerry and Alec, emphasizing that they’re not just business partners, but also close friends who genuinely enjoy each other’s company. This dynamic duo embodies the spirit of Continental Siding, and it’s heartening to see our community recognize and appreciate this change that we are so excited about!
