Aluminum and Steel Carports

Multipurpose Protection from the Elements

You may know Continental Siding for its quality installation of seamless polymer siding on homes located throughout Missouri and Kansas, but did you also know that Continental Siding also offers services for the creation of carports? The versatile carport structure can do more than provide shelter for your vehicle. It can also provide an area for outdoor entertaining complete with picnic tables and a grill or it can be a covered and shaded area for children to play outside when the house starts to feel too small or as a shelter for large and small animals. Carports are a great way to provide shade from the sun and also protection from the rain, sleet and snow.

Aluminum and Steel Carports

The carports installed by Continental Siding feature many of the same elements as the quality seamless polymer siding that our company is known for. The roof components used in Continental Siding’s carports are made from aluminum or steel components. Aluminum is lighter than steel. This means that it is typically less expensive than steel but it will not be able to withstand the wind like a carport made from steel. A carport made from steel is more able to withstand wind and heavy falls of rain and snow to better protect the investment underneath. Both the aluminum and steel components used by the Continental Siding installation experts are cut into the exact size you need. This means that essentially every carport constructed by Continental Siding becomes a custom-built carport.

The steel and aluminum used in the construction of the roof components features a polyester finish that is baked on for added durability. This means added protection and less maintenance for years to come. Carports can be constructed in a freestanding, two-beam, three-beam or four-beam unit.

Canopy Construction

All of the canopy components in the carport feature quality control standards and precise engineering techniques. Quality construction includes precision fabricated corners, panels and fascia featuring perfect-fit interlocking assembly. The carports are available in a variety of colors including colonial blue, brown, ivory, dark bronze, black, clay and white.

Benefits of installing a Carport

Protection from the Weather – All carports from Continental Siding feature wind and snow load engineering so you can be sure that the investment located beneath the carport is protected.

Outdoor Entertaining – Installing a carport over an outdoor entertaining area means that there’s no longer a need to cancel a social gathering because of unexpected rain, hot sun or even snow.

Animal Shelter – A carport also provides an excellent shelter for animals that are big and small. The carport can supply shade and protection from the sun in the summer, rain and snow in the winter.

Cover for Vehicles and Large Equipment – Rather than attempt to fit one more thing in your garage or barn, consider a carport for farm equipment, trailers and boats.

All carport covers are custom fabricated and there are a variety of choices that are guaranteed to suit your needs as well as your wallet. To learn more about creating a custom carport option for your needs, contact Continental Siding. Call 1-800-533-3880 to learn more.
